About	Joe Kelly August 9, 1946 – July 13, 2014 Joe Kelly, 67, of Bay City, TX, passed away July 13, 2014. He was born August 9, 1946 in Bay City, TX, to George Bud Kelly and Raye Tillmon Kelly. He and his father co-owned Kelly’s Car Care in Bay City for many years. He loved to fish and cook, especially bar-b-que, but most of all , he loved spending time with his three grandchildren. His favorite pastime was cheering on those girls at the softball fields. His father preceded him in death. Survivors include his mother, Raye Kelly of Bay City; wife, Carol Kelly of Bay City; daughters, Allison Lawhon and Alisha Kelly, both of Bay City; sister, Peggy Roone and husband Bill of Bay City; grandchildren, Karley Kelly, Sydney Lawhon and Brody Lawhon; nephew, Paul Roome and wife Bridget; niece, Patricia Bell and husband Doug; uncle and aunt, Jay and June Tillmon; close cousins, Kelley Ann Young, Nell McKinney, John Jennings, Gloria Ziegenhals and Bill Kelly; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends and relatives from 12 noon until 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home in Bay City. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Van Vleck, with the Rev. Bob Hobbins and the Rev. Chester Sassman officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Bubba Simons, Christopher Sneath, Bobby Tucker, John Jennings, Chris Hinman and Matt Lawhon.
