About	John Leslie Scoggin, 57, died Sunday, Oct. 9, 2005 in Dallas, Texas. He was born in Bay City, Texas, on Nov. 23, 1947, to Jack and Elaine Scoggin. He attended school in Bay City and military school in Kerrville, Texas. He also attended Wharton County Junior College. He was involved in a car accident, which prevented him from active service in Vietnam. He married Betty Walters and had one son, Steven Ross Scoggin. John worked most of his adult life for Baker Packers, an offshore equipment manufacturer, both in Houston and in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. John always was an avid outdoorsman, his interests including fishing, hunting and camping. He was also a gun enthusiast and an active member of the NRA. He is survived by: his son, Steven Ross Scoggin; daughter-in-law, Kristen; granddaughter, Brooke Elizabeth; grandson, Jack Edward; and step-daughter, Jennifer Jacobs. John was a good person, friend, father and grandfather, and will be missed by all.
