About	Melissa Diane Herreth, 53, of Bay City, died tragically Christmas morning at her home due to accidental carbon monoxide asphyxiation. She was born April 19, 1951 in Bay City to Albert Casper "A. C." Herreth, Jr. and Georgia "Ann" Irene Rice Herreth. She graduated from Bay City High School in 1969. She was married in 1972 to Charlie Ray Stavinoha. They divorced and he later died. She had a beautiful alto singing voice and lettered four years in an Acapella Choir in high school. She is survived by: both of her parents; two brothers, Albert "Abby" Elton Herreth and Brett Ramzel Herreth and his son, Albert William Rice Herreth; her nephew, all of Bay City; one daughter and son-in-law, Teri and Jimmy Gleason; and by three grandchildren, Cullen, Jaymee and Brittany, all of Crosby, Texas; and a host of extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ira Elton "Jack"and Mary Rena Ramzel Rice and paternal grandparents, Albert, Sr. and Elizabeth Gavender Herreth. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2004, at Taylor Bros. Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Brenda Wilson, minister of the First Christian Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City. Pallbearers include, Bruce R. "Rex" Martin, III, Jay Lee, Ramona Smallwood, Tracy Sciba, Sonny Sciba and Jon Hale. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Louis Valdez, Doug Seifert, Justin Guess, Shawn Guess, Roland Spurr, Roland Allen Fondon, Leonard Ray Knight, nephew Albert Herreth and his mother Sandra Lynn "Sandy" Herreth, and special friend Billy Kelly.
