Obit:
Timothy J. Erskine Sr., 29, of 100 Bryant St., was found dead Monday, July 17, at Welders Supplies and Gases, Division of AGA Inc.
He was born in Battle Creek and and was a life-long resident. He attended Battle Creek Central High School and served in the Navy in 1977. He worked for Keiper-Recaro Inc. Four years and later worked for L & L Construction, Lansing. For the past six years he worked at Welders Supplies and Gasses, where he was assistant manager.
He attended North Avenue Church of God and was a member of the industrial arts advisory board at Kellogg Community College. He also had coached Kiwanis Little League Soccer.
Surviving are his wife, the former Callie Keeler; sons, Timothy J. Erskine III and Eric S. Erskine, both at home; a daughter, Sarah L. Erskine, at home; his parents, Mary Erskine and Kenneth R. Erskine, both of Battle Creek; maternalgrandmother, Isabelle Denney of Battle Creek; paternal grandfather, Raymond Erskine of East LeRoy; Anda brother, Martin Erskine of Battle Creek.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Farley-Estes Funeral Home. Memorial donations may go to North Avenue Church of God.
