About	Jerry was born to Delmar J. and Helen L. (McMullen) Shepherd. In 1959 he married Elva (Goodwin) Shepherd. Jerry was a 1957 graduate and in the first graduating class from Bath High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Marines where he served two tours in Lebanon in Operation Blue Bat. After serving his country he returned home and worked for a short time at the Lima Ford Engine Plant. He spent most of his career as a "Junk Yard Dog" working at Kenny's Auto Wrecking. He was a member of the Forest Park United Methodist Church. He loved working on cars, cutting wood, tending his garden and car racing. He was a fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Cleveland Browns and the Cincinnati Reds. He was very proud that he was born, raised, lived, raised his family and retired in Bath Township. He is survived by his wife, 4 children, 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
