About	100, of Sewickley on Friday, April 10, 2009. Born August 1, 1908 in Tidioute, PA, the daughter of the late Maurice and Ellen (McCarthy) Brewster. Wife of the late Dr. Kenneth G. Kapp. Mother of Lynne "Polly" (Peter) Thompson of Leesburg, VA and Susan (Robb) Mayo of New Canaan, CT & Vero Beach, FL. Grandmother of Julie (Tom) Bradbury of Atlanta, GA, Christy (Adam) Hahn of Darien, CT and Scott Mayo of Atlanta, GA. Great- Grandmother of Tommy, Brooks, Molly and Connor. Sister of the late Leo Brewster. Mrs. Kapp grew up in Oil City, PA, was a graduate of Mercyhurst College and received her Master's degree from Carnegie Mellon. A founder of the Coraopolis branch of the AAUW, and the branch's first president, she was instrumental in bringing live theater to the students of area schools. Through the cooperative effort of the AAUW, plays where staged by national touring companies in local schools and were very well received, as were several lecture and concert series. She loved children, education and cultural growth and spent many years as a teacher of Latin and English at Avonworth High School. A memorial mass will be celebrated at St. James Church in Sewickley on Saturday April 18 at 10AM.
