About	Timothy Paul Meineke, age 69 of Greenville, NC, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2021, at Vidant Medical Center. Timothy was born May 8, 1951 in Austin, Minnesota; the son of Merton and Jeanne (Thompson) Meineke. He grew up in Austin and graduated from Austin High School. Following his graduation, Timothy enlisted into the United States Navy. After returning from service, he got his nursing degree at Riverland Community College. He then moved to Greenville and began working as a nurse at Vidant Medical Center until retiring in 2014. On June 7, 1996, he married Victoria “Vicki” Dunning. Timothy and Vicki met in high school. Life took them different directions for a while and as fate would have it, brought them back together. Timothy was well known for his love of music. He has written and composed numerous songs. Timothy was very talented. He had a love for painting and woodworking as well. He would spend hours working in his shop with wood. He created many beautiful necklaces and various other things. Tim also loved golf, gardening, fishing and going for walks. Tim was a lover of all things nature and so enjoyed his retirement. Survivors include his wife, Victoria Meineke of the home; children, Noah (Erin) Meineke of Oak Ridge, New Jersey, Emily (Joe Kwon) Meineke of Davis, California, Matthew Meineke of Raleigh, North Carolina, Heath (Ruth) Phillips of Merriam, Kansas, Tori Rupke of Greenville, North Carolina; 5 grandchildren, Kayla Rupke, Christian Rupke, Makenzie Rupke, Reese Phillips and Symphony Phillips; 9 siblings, Su Anne Schloo of Minneapolis, MN, Dr. Calvin (Ewa) Meineke of Palos Park, IL, Therese Saxon of Muncie, IN, Mary “Katie” (Joe) Meyers of Cedar Rapids, IA, Dorothy “Dottie” Johnson (Paul Couvrette) of Rochester, MN, Margaret “Molly” (Roger) Adams of San Jose, CA, Sara (Doug) Weckwerth of Austin, MN, Joseph (Sue) Meineke of Austin, MN, Jane Meineke (Tony Drumm) of Rochester, MN; his beloved dogs Bennie and Bella. He was preceded in death by his parents, Merton and Jeanne Meineke; brother, Anthony Meineke. No services will be planned at this time due to COVID. A celebration of life will be held in Austin, Minnesota for him and his father at a later date.
