About	Robert W. Christgau, 65, of Austin, Minnesota, died peacefully Thursday, April 25, 2019 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Home from leukemia. Robert Wayne Christgau was born July 11, 1953 in Rochester, Minnesota to Maynard “E.M.” and Esther (Boyd) Christgau. He graduated from Austin High School in 1971 and enlisted in the U.S. Army alongside his brother Richard. After his military service, he went to work for the Geo. A. Hormel Company. He was married to Brenda McLeod whom he loved very much. Bob enjoyed nature, nature shows, walks in the woods, and relaxing after work. Bob also spent time finding the humor in things. He was preceded in death by his mother, Esther; and his wife, Brenda in 1993. Bob is survived by his children: Terra Oleson, Watertown, South Dakota, John (Candy) Mills, Austin, Minnesota, James Christgau, Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Matt Christgau, (Jenny Kraft) Adams, Tennessee; 12 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; father: E.M. (Judy) Christgau, Iowa; brothers: Ron (Purrine) Christgau, Florida, Richard (Jackie) Christgau, Austin, Minnesota and John Christgau, Austin, Minnesota; nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 1st at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary with the Reverend Shari Mason officiating. Austin Post #91 American Legion is in charge of military rites.
