About	LCPL Tracy Tenhoff was a rifleman with E company, 2nd Battalion 7th Marines on November 1966 He was leading his unit in the point position on a security patrol near their base amp at Chu Lia in Quang Tin Province, RVN . The patrol came to a stream that was spanned by an improvised bamboo bridge. Tenhoff, being on point, began crossing the bridge when he was fired on by a sniper concealed in the undergrowth on the other side of the waterway. Hit in the chest ,Tenhoff collapsed on the bridge. The patrol hit the ground and began to pour a heavy volume of fire into enemy position. One of the Marines rose and ran out on the bridge and recovered Tenhoff. For his heroism he was decorated for gallantry. Tenhoff, suffering from a sucking chest wound was attended to by the corpsman but died by the time the medical helicopter arrived. He was 19 at the time of his death
