Graduation Year Class of 1964

About Glen was full of adventure and a real contender in the " big boy toy collector" category because if it. He loved Hawaii and planned to retire there with his wife, Vickie-Marie Parker Ward (AHS Class of 1967).

For 25 years, Glen lived adjacent to the Ashland Airport, where his Mooney was parked. He often rode his red Harley Road King in Parades with Hillah Shrine. He was on Hillah's Divan and was Past Master of Ashland Masonic Lodge and the last Patron of Ashland's Alpha Chapter #1 of Eastern Star. He was also an active member of Hawaiian Masonic Lodge of Honolulu, Hawaii and of Eagles Aerie of Medford. He drove NASCAR West in the early 1980s and was a frequent driver at the Medford Speedway, Portland International Raceway and other West Coast race tracks during the 1970's.

Glen attended SOC where he majored in Nuclear Engineering, but was a cheerleader for most sports. In addition to the above, he was a skier (water and snow), SCUBA diver, mechanic, builder, electrician, plumber, upholsterer, welder, long haul trucker and steam train hobbyist. As a talented professional musician and singer, Glen was involved in many musical groups in Southern Oregon over the years including the Ashland City Band and The Sons of Oregon. He managed the bar operations at the Flambeau Room in the Marc Antony Hotel in the late '60's and early '70's and later co-owned and operated Rondo Bowling Lanes in Ashland, with his parents, Timer and Eleanor Ward during the '70's and '80's. He drove millions of miles as a big rig owner-operator until 2005. He owned Ali'i Productions and provided sound and stage lighting and equipment for many West Coast venues including the Atlantis Reno. Because of his love of Hawaii, Glen was studying kane kahiko (men's traditional) hula at the time of his death.

Glen died very unexpectedly of a massive brain stem stroke after being transported to the Oregon Health and Sciences University Hospital in Portland. A Celebration of Glen's Life was held at the Ashland Masonic Center on February 6, 2011 which included a performance in his memory by his hula halau.
