PRESS RELEASE
August 26, 2019

Lou Warobick’s Junior Golf Foundation
2019 SPORTSMANSHIP SCHOLARSHIP

Emily Lauterbach and Matthew Raab, graduates of Arrowhead High School have been selected as two of the recipients of the 2019 Lou Warobick's Junior Golf Foundation Sportsmanship Scholarship awards.

Emily's and Matthew's willingness to volunteer their time at Arrowhead High School and in their community elevated them to the top of the Foundation's list of nominations.

Emily will be attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Matthew will be attending the University of St. Thomas.

The scholarships are awarded annually to college bound high school senior boys and girls from Wisconsin who best exemplify good sportsmanship and contributions to their school and community. Golf coaches, athletic departments, golf professionals, associations and other golf officials throughout Wisconsin nominate high school seniors. A milestone was reached in 2019. The Foundation named our 100th winner selected since it began the awards in 2000.

The scholarships are meant to promote good sportsmanship in junior golf. They were founded in memory of Wisconsin State Golf Hall of Fame honoree, Lou Warobick.

AHS Stadium of Dreams

We need help to make this dream a reality!

Please log onto www.ahsstadiumofdrems.com today and make a donation towards the new stadium. There are donor levels available from $1 - $1,000,000 - something for everyone!

I am personally trying to get alumni to buy bricks for the walk of fame which will be at the entry of the stadium. It would be so cool for students of all ages to see a piece of history every time they attend a game.

You can presonalize and buy your brick online. Please support the stadium today!

'08 Science Alumni Day-Dec. 19

Hi All!

It's almost that time of year again. We (the AHS Science Teachers) are looking for Alumni to come back to talk to our students about college. We are looking for students that are currently in college or have graduated recently.

The date is Friday, December 19, and you can come at any point of the day between 7:15 am-2:36pm. We will provide food and beverage! Please check in at the Welcome Center when you enter the building.

For those that are "a bit out of the college loop" we would love to have you come in after AP Exams (Mid May-June) and give a presentation about your career.

Email me at heckenkamp@ahs.k12.wi.us if you can make it! (Please put Alumni Day in the title.)

Thanks!
Maria
