About	Cheryl Woods. Our sympathy to her family Cheryl Woods was born in Indianapolis, IN on October 7, 1954. She was the first child of the union of William H. Woods, Jr. and Florence M. Bowser. Cheryl was raised in Indianapolis along with her siblings, Brenda, Erroll (Doug) and Linda. Cheryl was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist church and accepted Jesus, Our Christ in 1966. Cheryl was educated at Joyce Kelmer Academy #69, Arlington High School and Indiana University (IU) in Bloomington, In. Cheryl received a BS degree in Education from IU in 1977, then became an elementary teacher for the Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS) for eight years. Cheryl also lived in Fort Wayne, Indiana; Cleveland, Ohio and finally Atlanta, GA. She was know for her generosity and was always aiding family, friends and various charitable organizations including Easter Seal, Special Olympics, MDA, Paralyzed Veterans of America, National Police & Tropper Association (NPTA), St. Joseph's Indiana School, Unity Church, IU Foundation and many others. Cheryl departed this life on March 27 2015 at the age of 60, after months of health challenges. She is survived by her mother and father; her sisters Brenda, Linda and Yolanda; and her brothers Erroll and Victor (Pastor, New Unity Church in Indianapolis).
