I recently vacationed in Cape Cod and visited a flea market. I bought a bin of stuff and found a wonderful class picture entitled, "Burden Party, Washington, D.C. April 1954". The students signed the back of the picture and many of the students were attending Ardsley High School. The owner of the picture is Virginia and the kids certainly had a lot of fun in the hotel rooms!!! Some of the kids may also have attended Kisco High.
I would love to mail it to a good home. Realizing that these "kids" are now 70ish, it may be difficult to locate a good home! Some names are Billy Bell, Dick Bancroft, Mike, Trudy, Joan Mahoper, Dan Smith, Carl Moberg, Nancy Purdip, Margaret, Geof, Pat, Jane, Ruth Grelee. . . the names are difficult to read as they were on a train!!
The photo is about 30" x 10" and was taken in April 1954 in front of the Jefferson Memorial, Washington, D.C. I think it's a high school trip of Ardsley and Mt. Kiscoe. . . but thats a guess. There are about 137 students, teachers and bus drivers in the photo!
