What is Brian Ralston known for?

The celebrated composer and musician, Brian Ralston, was born on April 12, 1974, and currently resides in Los Angeles, California. He is an accomplished alumnus of Arcadia High School in Arcadia, CA, where he was a notable member of the Arcadia Apache Marching Band during his time there.

Ralston's achievements include winning the 2020 Hollywood Music in Media Awards for his contemporary classical piece "I think I'm Quite Ready For Another Adventure," inspired by Tolkien's Lord Of The Rings 2nd age. He's also known for his role as a film and television composer, which is demonstrated through his impressive portfolio.

Notably, Ralston has scored several films, including the 2012 Sci-Fi feature Silent River, the love drama About Him & Her, and the 2017 drama Being Rose starring Cybill Shepherd, James Brolin, and Pam Grier. His work also includes the inspirational sports film Crooked Arrows, the teen heist movie Graduation, and the dramatic feature Don't Fade Away.

Shortly before these accomplishments, in 2005, Ralston produced and composed for a comedy short-film entitled The Receipt, which starred Kristen Bell and Dina Meyer. The film was notably successful and won many awards, including Best Comedy at the Los Angeles International Short Film Festival 2005 and the Gold Medal of Excellence for Ralston's score at the Park City Film Music Festival 2005.
