About	Ever since I met him, I called him "Chuck" when everybody else called him Carlos, his given name. I officially met Chuck during our Freshman year at Antelope waaay back in 1979. Before that, we were grade-school rivals as he was from Mohawk (BOO) and I was from Dateland (YAY), competing in football, basketball, baseball as well as in track and field. During our "formative years at Antelope" we were teammates on the JV and Varsity baseball teams all 4 years and were on the Freshman and JV basketball squads. We went to college together and tooled around town in his truck "Old Blue" with Xavier Herrera and Bobby LaLonde. When I moved back to Yuma in the early 2000's, we went to a lot, and I mean A LOT, of concerts and movies. His son, "Lil' Chuck" even went to his first rock and roll concert with us, Aerosmith and ZZ Top! A very good choice in deed :) About a year ago we were in Phoenix for another concert and I turned to him and called him "Carlos". You should have seen the look on his face! He looked at me all weird and said (something to the effect of), "NAHHHH, that's not right!", and we agreed that THAT was just WEIRD to say/hear. He's one of the few people that I allow to call me "Jimbo", as I don't like that. However, it's "peas and carrots" when he (as well as a very few other very close friends) calls me that...don't YOU dare! lol...no, really... I miss ol' Chuck as I miss a brother. So long, old friend. Also, I would like to honorably mention other class of 1983 alumni that have passed: Angelo Chabolla; Joel Conner; Louis Hale; and Kim Biles. Rest In Peace friends.
