About Me | My days have slowed down a bit since I retired. I get up about 6:15 AM. Shave. Spend a few moments reading the paper. Our papers out here are so dominated by the liberal left democrats and the news so biased in that direction that I get upset and switch to the comics. A lot of those are even are written by democrats - Doonesbury, Prickly City, Non Sequitur - all democrats. It is not a good way to start a day. So, I go out for my morning walk. Usually I go over to 'Its A Grind' coffee shop about a mile's walk. Order my coffee from a young kid with a ring in his eyebrow, ignore the cup with a sign on it that says tips are acceptable (tip a guy for taking my money and handing me a cup - I don't think so.), go out and sit in the open patio away from the music the ring-in-the-eyebrow kid is playing and drink my coffee. It's nice out there. Humming birds live in the bottle-brush tree. A feral cat comes down off the roof of the building next door for a bit of my bagel. Sometimes one of the street people wanders around. I'll buy him coffee and a bagel. He tells me his story. Somewhat confusing. He owns a house. His brother kick him out. If you are scanned more than 10 times the molecules break up and never get back together. And then you just float around trying to find all your other molecules but sometimes you find another person's molecules and put those together with yours. Then you really get messed up. He was talking to a girl one day and they got scanned. She disappeared and reappeared several minutes later. Said she was broken up into those molecule things and duplicated and transported to several police stations across the country where they force her to take drugs and had their way with her. His story is more plausible than the democrats and more interesting than the comics. My health is acceptable. I can't do some of the things I used to, but then I don't suppose I ...(read more) |
