What is Rudolph Hanson known for?

Rudolph William Hanson, born on May 30, 1903, was a remarkable figure in law and politics. He was born on a farm in Pickerel Lake Township, Freeborn County, Minnesota, close to Albert Lea, Minnesota.

Hanson's journey begins at the public schools in Albert Lea, followed by a stint with farming, teaching, and the manufacturing of butter. He graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1935 and the University of Minnesota Law School in 1937. After graduation, he practiced law in Albert Lea.

His service to the country extended beyond the courtroom - during World War II, from 1942 to 1945, he served in the United States Navy. Following this, he dedicated himself to public service as the Freeborn County Attorney from 1946 to 1954.

Hanson then made a significant impact in the political arena, serving in the Minnesota Senate from 1955 to 1970. He remained dedicated to his community until his demise on October 12, 2002 at his home in Albert Lea, Minnesota.
