What is Perry Saturn known for?

Perry Arthur Satullo, better known by his ring name Perry Saturn, is a distinguished American retired professional wrestler hailing from Cleveland, Ohio. Born on October 25, 1966, Saturn started his professional wrestling career in 1990 after a four-year stint with the United States Army and completing his bachelor's degree. Remarkably, he is a certified graduate of the U.S. Army Ranger School and has served in the United States Army Rangers.

During his professional wrestling career, Saturn wrestled for various high-profile promotions such as Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), World Championship Wrestling (WCW), the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE), and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA, now Impact). His illustrious career saw him garner multiple titles, including the ECW World Tag Team Champion, WCW World Tag Team Champion, WCW World Television Champion, WWF European Champion, and WWF Hardcore Champion. Given his consistent prowess in the ring, commentators acknowledged him as one of the more prominent stars in WCW and ECW in the late 1990s.

Before his full-time professional wrestling endeavors, Saturn trained under Scott Pieroni. His wrestling journey kick-started in Malden, Massachusetts, at Killer Kowalski's school around 1988. Under the ring name Saturn, he made his debut on October 27, 1990, in Waltham, Massachusetts. Known also as "The Iron Horseman," Saturn wrestled in the International Wrestling Federation, earned the IWF Light Heavyweight Championship, and wrestled for independent promotions throughout New England. He also toured Japan with New Japan Pro-Wrestling in 1993.

Beyond his individual career, Saturn is recognized for his tag team partnership with George Caiazzo, known by the ring name "John Kronus." Initially, they intended to be dubbed as "The Harvesters of Sorrow," taking inspiration from Saturn and Cronus, their cultures' respective gods of the harvest. However, they later became famously known as "The Eliminators" on the advice of promoter Jerry Lawler.

After a career spanning more than two decades, Perry Saturn retired from professional wrestling on July 7, 2013. Today, Saturn stands as an honored alum of Albert Lea High School and one of the finest professional wrestlers to emerge from Cleveland, Ohio.
