What is Mark Piepho known for?

Mark J. Piepho was a notable American politician and businessman, born on November 28, 1952 in Albert Lea, Minnesota. He later moved to Rochester, Minnesota where he graduated from Rochester Lourdes High School in 1971, following which he obtained an associate degree from Rochester Community and Technical College.

Piepho worked for the Minnesota Department Transportation office in Rochester, furthering his education with a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of St. Thomas and a master's degree in public administration from Minnesota State University, Mankato. In 1975, he moved to Mankato, Minnesota, where he owned a moving and storage business.

His career in politics began in the city of Skyline, Minnesota where he served as mayor. A proud member of the Republican Party, Piepho spent several years in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 1979 to 1986, followed by a term in the Minnesota Senate in 1989 and 1990.
