The golf tournament Sunday was successful and raised funds for Sally and Dwayne. Sadly, Dwyane passed away about 6:00 pm on Sunday evening. He held on until the day of the tournament. He will be missed by friends and family.

A benefit golf tournament will be held for Dwayne Morris on Sunday, October 11 beginning at 8:30 am at the Tangle Oaks Golf Club on FM 1226, Hawley, Texas. Dwayne is a 1972 graduate of AHS. He was diagnosed several months ago with a tumor on his liver. He has been receiving chemo treatments without much success. The doctor has prescribed a chemo pill in hopes that it will improve Dwayne's health. Dwayne is married to Sally (Brown) who also graduated from AHS in 1972. Their sons, Chad and Matthew graduated from AHS. A benefit golf tournament for Dwayne Morris - AHS 72 grad - will be held Sunday, Oct. 11, beginning at 8:30 am in Hawley Texas at the Tangle Oaks Golf Club FM 1226. Dwayne has a tumor on his liver and has been receiving chemo treatment for the past 5 years without much success. The insurance company will not approve the chemo pills the doctor wants to try to see if it will shrink the tumor and improve Dwyane's health. He is unable to work at this time. Dwayne is married to Sally (Brown) and she is also a 72 graduate.
