Service description Was an Engineman 3rd class Petty Officer aboard the U.S.S. Vandegrift (FFG-48) from 1997-2001. Stationed in San Diego for 8 months before the ship homeport shifted to Yokosuka, Japan. Spent three years of the 4 years aboard the ship in Japan. Great experience and wouldn't change any of it. |
