Service description
I served from 4 years out of high school, and returned to serve 2 1/2 years active duty reserves, married with 2 children. Upon hearing that I had a billet for deployment, I put in a package for active duty, and was given orders for active duty and sent to Norfolk/Virgina Beach, VIrgina. My family and I moved and we spent 2 years there. In June of 2007, my wife and children moved back to Ottawa, and I stayed to prepare the ship for a homeport change to Japan. In August 2008, I left the Navy to return to the civilian world. I had completed my tour and was ready to be back with my family.
