Service description
Tommy Bertrand served in the United States Air Forces (USAF) Security Forces for twenty years and was stationed in Europe, South and Central America and southwest Asia. During his years of service he was awarded the following medals and awards. Two USAF Meritorious Service Medals, three USAF Commendation Medals, five USAF Good Conduct Medals, USAF Achievement Medal, National Defense Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal, Saudi Arabian Defense Medal, 17th Air Force's Col Billy Jack Carter Award, three time Distinguished graduate of the Professional Military Education Academy. Tommy is also a distinguished graduate of the Defense Security Academy class of 2002. Tommy’s educational accomplishments after leaving Live Oak High School are a M.S., Economic Crime Management, Utica College, Utica, NY, B.S., Liberal Arts, History, Excelsior College, Albany, NY A.A.S., Criminal Justice, Community College of the Air Force, Montgomery, AL. Tommy is also a Member of Alpha Phi Sigma; National Criminal Justice Honor Society and a Life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
