Service description I joined the Army in August, 2002 and completed Infantry Basic Training at Ft. Benning GA. After completing basic training, I was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 2nd Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, Vilseck Germany. I deployed to Iraq for a 12 month deployment in Feb. 2004 where i participated in stability and counter insurgency operations in the Diyalla Province and the assault on Fallujah in November 2004. After returning to Vilseck in February 2005, I was assigned to the 1st Squadron, 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment and deployed to Iraq for a secon 15 month deployment in August 2007. |

Service description Enlisted directly out of high school. Completed Basic Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. Transferred to Fort Eustis, Virginia for Transportation Logistics training. My first Duty station was Fort Bliss, TX, then Yongsan Army Garrison, Korea / Osan AFB, Korea / Back to Fort Bliss, TX / Fort Richarsdon, Alaska / Scott AFB, Illinois / Fort Leonard Wood, MO. That took about 10 years to do. I then separated from Active Service, paused to take a breath and build our home, then re-enlisted into the Reserves as a Combat Engineer. I am currently mobilized in support of Operation Enduring Freedom training Soldiers in the Combat Engineer Field. |
