Had assignments at: Dyess AFB in Abilene, TX (Nov 78- Jan 81); RAF Mildenhall England (Jan 81- Jan 84); Holloman AFB in Alamogordo, NM (Jan 84- July 88); Tonopah Test Range, NV with the F-117 Stealth Fighter (July 88- July 91); Davis-Monthan AFB in Tucson, AZ (july 91- retirement). During my assignment at Holloman AFB, NM I was deployed to Egypt for six months. I retired with the rank of E-7 which is Master Sergeant. I do not regret one second of my military career and would do it over again in a heartbeat. It was truly an honor to serve my country. |

I worked several places before finally joining the Navy in 1988. I have been stationed in San Diego, CA; Great Lakes, IL: Mare Island, CA; and Norfolk, VA. I first went to sea on the USS Theodore Roosevelt CVN-71 during Desert Shield/Storm. We later did operations during Kosovo in 1992. I was a part of the commisioning crew of the USS Bataan LHD-5 and a part of its maiden voyage to the Mediteratian and Red Seas. My last ship was the USS Trenton LPD-14 which we decommisioned and sold to the INS (Indian Navy.) I am currently stationed with COMOPTEVFOR where new technology, systems, and ships are tested before being released to the fleet. The Navy has been very rewarding for me and I would not change my decision to enlist. The Navy is catalyst for meeting my wife. (I was set up by a Navy buddy 19 years ago.) We have three beautiful (and hard headed children.) |
